Smidge, Labrador/Golden Retriever cross (6 y/o), Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH • “She’s my guide dog. I had a tough time adjusting to having a dog at first. I’ve always been really independent and didn’t know if I wanted help. She’s been really helpful navigating campus and doing crowd work – making sure we can both fit through spaces. We’ve run though airports together. I bring her to my national paralympic skiing events. I’ve been skiing since I was four.
