Elaborately-decorated, the Okeover service is one of the greatest examples of Chinese Export armorial services ever produced. Made for Leake Okeover (1702-65), the original design for the lavish porcelain set is the only recorded example for a complete armorial service known to survive. Nearly a dozen pieces from this beautifully rendered set will be offered in our dedicated sale, ‘Gallison Hall: The James F. Scott Collection’.
