Designed in 1939 by Boylan & Co in Sydney for @Qantas Empire Airways, this is one of several boldly designed 20th century Australian travel posters in the #MAAScollection. The fixed wing, four-engine long distance passenger flying boat was used as the basic means of international air travel in the interwar period. The hull of the plane allowed it to land on water.
