If the first shark fails to catch the prey, the scared fish ends up in the the second jaw in ambush. This video technique, mostly known in action and Syfy movies, has been applied for the first time to UW wildlife during the GOMBESSA IV Expedition. My team and I imagined and built « The Arch of Image », a semicircular rig of 32 synchronized GoPro cameras. The goal of a « bullet time shot » is to freeze the image and turn around the frozen scene. This scene is visible among many others in our film « 700 sharks into the dark » -

Ce «bullet time shot» nous a permis de distinguer comment les requins chassent par paires. Si le premier requin ne parvient pas à attraper la proie, le poisson effrayé se retrouve dans la deuxième mâchoire en embuscade. Cette technique vidéo, principalement connue dans les films d'action et de science fiction, a été appliquée pour la première fois à la vie sauvage sous-marine lors de l'expédition GOMBESSA IV. Mon équipe et moi avons imaginé et construit «l’Arche d'Image», une arche semi-circulaire de 32 caméras GoPro synchronisées. Le but du «bullet time shot» est de faire un arrêt sur image puis faire le tour de la scène ainsi figée. Cette scène est présente parmi d’autres dans notre film «700 requins dans la nuit» -
