Hundreds of protesters opposed to the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court rallied in cities across the country on Saturday to express their frustration, fear, and fury with a political system that seems to have utterly discounted the will of the people it claims to serve. Senator @kirstengillibrand addressed the larger implications of the issue at hand during her remarks on Saturday morning on the Senate floor, asking her fellow senators: “Do we, as a country, value women?” After the way Anita Hill was treated by the senate during the Clarence Thomas hearings in 1991, Gillibrand added: “We said it would never happen again. But it did.” Click the link in bio to see the demonstrations from Washington, D.C. Photographed by @justingellerson.
