Ainokura Village in Toyama prefecture is a small town with many “#gassho” style houses (#合掌造り). These houses have the triangular roofs to keep the snow off of them during the winter months.

In spring and early summer, the rice seedlings are planted in the fields. You can see the rice terraces with the “gassho” style houses together, all surrounded by fresh, lush, greenery.
