Perspective: particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view ✨ Life is all about perspective. We can ask ourselves the simple question of “why is this happening to me” OR we can ask ourselves “why is this happening for me”. This morning I woke up with excitement and energy thinking about the new week ahead. To be completely honest, the last few weeks I had fallen off the motivation bandwagon for working out. As I went to sleep last night, I thought to myself that this was the week to get back on track. So I woke up and forced myself to be motivated. I got my morning coffee and as I was on my way to my workout, I got a flat tire. Immediately I got annoyed, rolled by eyes, and thought to myself, “of course... this would happen to me” and “ugh, why is this happening”? But very quickly I reminded myself to put everything into perspective. Yes I wasn’t making my 8am workout, but there were many other chances to get in my workout today, I was safe, and this wasn’t the end of the world (I just needed to wait 3 more hours until my Dad landed from his flight from Peru ?) •

So today I remind you all: life isn’t happening to you, it’s happening for you. •
