Every time I bring this piece to a lesson or listen to someone else being taught this piece, one of the first things that the teacher asks is: “So, do you know what a Havanaise is? If not, how on earth do you think you are going to be able to play this piece??”
And I’ve learned my lesson: always know what the composer’s piece or movement name means! It will influence your interpretation so much! So, my question to you... do you know what a Havanaise is? If so, tell me in the comments below! 🤓

Wow - it has definitely been a while since my last playing video!
