I am so inspired by the dedication Leslie Grace shows to her students I had to repost her story from @ビジー・フィリップス! Leslie built her South Philadelphia K-8 art program from the ground up by fundraising and hustling, and before that the school had no art program for close to 15 years. She saw a need for her inner city students and brought it to life in an environment they totally thrive in! Leslie also founded the Philadelphia Art Teachers Alliance to keep the teachers in her city connected, teaches other teachers her rad methods at University of the Arts, and in her “free-time” is a board member & upcoming president elect of the Pennsylvania Art Education Association. Wow. Leslie is a woman with a vision & a mission and this week’s #wcw.
