In Japan there is a term for mixed people: Hafu. The word itself means “half” which immediately in this country translates to: incomplete, 50%, “not entirely us”. I’ve addressed this in many interviews before and this is something that is not openly discussed in Japan even though a lot of models here are often mixed. Being mixed comes with two sides, the one where everyone is worshiping how exotic you are and the side where they’ll tell to our faces that we’re not one of them.

日本では半分日本人もう半分外国人の人の事をハーフと呼んでいますが、「ハーフ」って言う言葉は、我々ハーフが 半分、50％、“日本人ではない” と言うようにしか聞こえない時もあります。
この内容に関して、日本はあまり論じる事がなく、複数のモデルがハーフであり、それでもまだ差別を感じる日々が続いています。
ハーフだからこそ良い事もいっぱいありますが、日本は頭の固い人もまだまだいるとの報告です．
時代的にハーフを差別する人がまだこの国に入るのがとても信じられないって言うか、私の戦いはまだ終わってない事に築き もっと 自分の思っている事を 言葉にするべきだと思いました。
