In my eyes this is one of the most stunning landscapes on the continent because Denali, isolated from other high mountains, rises taller than any other peak in North America, reaching 20,310 ft (6190 m) in its snow and ice-covered glory. Formerly known as “Mount McKinley” it was finally renamed Denali, the way the local Koyukon people have called it in their native language for centuries.
