#Flashback after a 3 hr hour drive and an hours hike into the mountains in Myanmar I discovered the mesmerising world of the Kayaw hill tribe. A tribe I had been longing to visit for years that still remain very much true to their traditions. Despite being Christian they still practice animist rituals and ceremonies. ?There is only one woman remaining who knows how to make jewellery. It is the only retired woman seen here, her name is Simtaow, she is making traditional ear plugs and necklaces in aluminium as she can’t afford silver. The women believe if they don’t wear these pieces the gods will not accept them at their time of passing. ??
