Dad passed away peacefully last week surrounding by family in the house he helped build 41 years ago.

I took this photo a few years ago in the vineyards of my hometown of Livermore. This photo meant a lot to me at the time and even more now, Dad had his Minolta SR7 that he had during his time in Vietnam with the Marines Corps. Whenever I’d visit we’d go out and look at the other vineyards in the area and see how their vines were doing. Then we’d return home and compare notes to our backyard vineyard he started back in 2002. It is quite fitting that he would pass away just before harvest when the season begins to change... In my IG Stories I put Dad’s Obituary and an invitation to his celebration of life this Saturday in Livermore - also put a bit about my dad’s life in photos in the IG Stories in my profile. His burial will be later at w/ full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
Thank you again for the outpouring of love for my family and I during this time. Many of you I have never met and it still blows my mind that Instagram and this medium can have such a profound effect that so many of you would truly care as much as you have. Thank you.
