Best known for his abstract painting and ceramic sculptures, Ken Price was an American artist born in Los Angeles, California in 1935.

His interests in Mexican-folk pottery, geology, erotic objects, and surfing all influenced his art, which he explained as the manifestation of that which he found pleasurable.

Price had his first solo show at the legendary Ferus Gallery in 1960, where his work quickly became emblematic of a developing art movement on the west coast.

This fall, Stüssy will release a series of t-shirts featuring artwork by Ken Price.
