"Bronte Beach is always my favourite place for taking ocean and surf photography as I can get a great position to capture the light and the angle of the waves from the side of the beach that looks over towards the cliffs of Tamarama and Bondi.
The surf was huge this morning with hardly any surfers. I played around with the settings to have a higher speed, as I wanted to get a more creamy effect on the wave, whilst using the lowest aperture I could to get a focus on the wind skirting off the top of the waves. I was lucky with the misty light that stayed around that morning too.
Taking shots of the ocean never gets old as every wave has its own unique personality and you can use so many different speeds and aperture to create so many different effects. Also - unlike sunrise/sunset shots - you always have a lot more time to play around with angles, settings and light." - @rosiebondi
