September has arrived, yet this is still a salad in the Norwegian farm, lit by the late sunset, sometime around mid August, probably. I made it entirely with the vegetables of the garden. It turns out the return to city life has been more drastic than I expected, and not having access to freshly picking up your veg from garden to make dinner is just one part of it.
I was blissfully used to the silence and the slow pace of the country life, my days were full of activity, and rarely I had the time to do “nothing”, but my mind was free. Back Rome, I took it slow, before work life starts for real tomorrow, and decluttered my whole apartment, mainly my wardrobe, did some deep cleaning, and struggled with broken appliances, and chased after electricians and plumbers.
I needed to be away from here for a bit. But now let’s get back to work. How have you been? Ready for fresh beginnings?
