Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! I try to stay young both physically and mentally, but the most important thing (for me) is to feel happy about getting "old" as I have more experiences in life and have met more wonderful people in the world. Today I happened to perform in the beautiful Minato Mirai hall in Yokohama, the concert's theme was "Water, Air, Light" on the occasion of the special exhibition of Claude Monet at the Yokohama museum. You might know that the Kanji character of "Ko 洸" in my first name suggests an image of "Shimmering water". I just love this natural phenomenon and consider it as a sort of my identity. 6 years ago, as my first concert after turning 30 years old, I gave a recital on the theme "Shimmering water" in the Minato Mirai (small) hall. (flyer is the photo 2) At the end of that recital, I played "L'Isle Joyeuse " by Debussy, which I played at the beginning of the concert today. So this seems to me more than just a coincidence, and these concerts will be unforgettable for me.
