I spent the weekend doing what I’ve been longing to do for a long time: sitting on my desk and indulging in my treasure - old scripts, handwritten letters, and Turner’s paintings. The day was long, I had all the time I had always craved for, so I made myself a cup of tea and began my blissful time.

As I sat in front of my window, overlooking that mundane view that’s grown dull to me, suddenly the skies caught my bored eyes. It was still an ordinary view - train passing casually, making loud noises and some ugly advertisement boards below. But the skies - the skies were outstanding nevertheless. And in that fleeting glance of time, I imagined the young Turner.

The way he observed the light of his days, how his eyes sparkled in the same awe of the nature’s vast canvas. How those beauty had shaped an enchanted world of his own, of colors and light - that poignantly mirrored his dreams and aspirations, his longings and ephemeral peace.

That afternoon turned golden as the sun shying away. Turner showed his treasure to me - those skies and its colors, and its wonder, and the sparkling eyes. And now, they have become my treasure, too.
