On the outskirts of #DukaBovu a young women sits in her home, ornately dressed besides ethereal beams of light. I took this photo in June of 2015 while on a philanthropic trip my good friend @mikelibecki put together, supported by @goalzero and @dell. Throughout our trip we installed solar panels, power stations and laptops at orphanages, churches and communities in remote villages. It was a very touching journey, going from place to place and being warmly greeted by locals and tribes in a variety of communities. I feel so blessed that I frequently get to travel to far and away places of the world and see with my own eyes what makes an area unique and the unifying common-ness we all share as human beings. That unification I’ve witnessed is love, love and preservation for family and their well being. Throughout these travels I have some of the most cherished memories of my life. Africa is without a doubt my favorite continent to visit, each trip back only strengthens my love for this place, the people and the natural world that can only be found here. Looking forward to stepping foot back on this continent in the coming months.
