Photo by Michaela Skovranova @mishkusk | The false killer whale is a large oceanic dolphin that inhabits oceans worldwide but mainly frequents tropical regions. False killer whales are incredibly social and can often be seen travelling in large pods. This particular individual came up for a closer investigation as the rest of the pod continued on in the distance. A small mark on it’s side was probably caused by a cookiecutter shark resulting in a small circular wound visible on the side.
