On August 10, Urawa Reds Ladies took a trip to the Netherlands to play against the 2017-2018 The Women’s Eredivisie, third, fourth, and fifth place teams; PSV, Heerenveen, Zwolle. Then, I went to France to watch the quarter finals of the U20 women’s world cups games. There were many things I felt while watching the games. The quality of the Japanese ball control and the flexibility in their attack was very high. I also thought the team did not perform their best in the 1st game vs USA and 2nd game vs Spain. However, I think one of the reasons why they made it to the finals was their ability to grow and learn from each game, like AI’s ‘Deep learning’. Each of the 8 teams have great characteristics. Each team improved throughout the tournament, but I think the team that improved the most was Spain and Japan. I sat near Silvia Neid (Head coach of the German women’s national team). She shared her thoughts about this tournament in this article below. https://www.fifa.com/u20womensworldcup/news/neid-japan-are-my-favourites-for-the-title I agree with her thoughts about Japan. “The way the Japanese played [against Germany] makes them my favourites. They have so much energy and creativity. They try to give themselves a numerical advantage down the wings and are flexible about occupying space. They look a little more complete than Spain.” I’m looking forward to the upcoming final game, Japan vs Spain! Good luck Moeka, Hana and Fuka?? Good luck head coach Pedro Lopez?? #なでしこ #なでしこジャパン #なでしこjapan #u20worldcup #u20womensworldcup #pedrolopez #silvianeid#spain
