Today I left that little piece of heaven back to city life, and I should say I was naive for thinking it wouldn't hit me hard. I had grown so familiar with the farm, its inhabitants (two legged and four legged), its routine and its spectacular surroundings where the only sound was only river, the sea, the wind and occasionally some birds, that I hadn't even thought about going back. Not that that I didn't know this moment was about to come — I have been missing home too — I guess I just hadn't thought it through. Goodbye was hard, and a good chunk of my heart will be forever left in that little farm between the fiord and the mountain, just as this farm experience will forever live inside me.
At the moment I am trying to cope with civilization in (a very touristy) Bergen, where I'm staying until tomorrow night (see more in the Stories). This image of dark silent magical woods is the one I wanna keep as my mental happy place to escape to, when necessary.
