Let’s talk relationships for a minute here because I have a potentially unpopular opinion: Nobody is a “bad person” for not wanting to be with someone anymore. “Oh, but they said they’d be with me FOREVER.” Okay, and you believed them. You placed your happiness into something so fluid and everchanging: feelings. Let the way you love someone NOW be enough. Let the way someone loves you NOW be enough. I do not think love is blind, but I do think people become so focused on “building a future” with their partners they lose sight of what’s happening in the moment with them. Maybe, in the moment, that person did desire to be with you “forever”, but it’s promising something so out of our control. Most (all) relationships are lessons in growth. And when Spirit has something different in store, we know. We feel it. By that time so many have already built the “perfect future” inside of their head with their partner they don’t listen when it’s time to let go. They contort and they force and they wonder why it feels so heavy. Why so much effort is suddenly involved. But believe me, they know. Clarity and wisdom in relationships is understanding when the effort your putting forth is truly necessary, kind, and communicative or when it’s simply you trying to force a relationship to stay alive when it died a long time ago. This is not living through your heart space. This is living a false life, and it hurts. It feels heavy. But these feelings are messengers just like the ones of intense passion and excitement were at the start. They’re all still with love. Would you rather your partner pretend to want to be with you when it’s not what their heart wants anymore just because at one point they promised you forever? Hell no. So either way, it’s gonna hurt. But that’s okay. There is so much damn Divinity in your hurt. Let it teach you. Let. Your. Heartbreaks. Make. You. Stronger. Do not let them close your heart more. They’re breaking you OPEN. That’s the point.
