I’m so lucky to have had the honor and pleasure of meeting Aretha Franklin several times over the years. She was so warm and had that special talent of making you feel like the Queen. I mean when the Queen of Soul wants to see baby pictures of your kids and she’s really interested, you feel pretty special. She loved my home in the Hamptons because it has a castle tower, and she insisted I deserved such a Tower. She was as excited about it as I was when I first saw it. I guess I’m telling you this because I just want her fans to know their Queen of Soul was never on a high horse, her soul came from her warm heart .. her gold records pale in comparison and I just want to pay my R E S P E C T
