I can’t believe it’s already been two years since my last game. .

Of course, when I see how much Natasha & Ella have grown in the past 24 months, it’s easier to believe it’s been that long. .
.
Watching this makes me think back to 2004. That was the year I learned a lot about pressure and nerves. .
.
I began to play in the biggest market in the world, for the most storied franchise in sports, in front of the most savvy media & the smartest, most passionate baseball fans on the globe. .
.
That was also the year I became a father. Now, I have two beautiful girls. One who’s a teenager and the other, who thinks she’s one. Every day, more than anything in this world, I’m grateful for the greatest gifts in my life, Tashi and Ella Bella. .
.
But I’m also immensely grateful for having the privilege of playing for the @ニューヨーク・ヤンキース. It’s been awhile since I put on the fabled pinstripes. Today I am feeling so grateful to all of you, the fans, for your support. For always pushing me. And on the anniversary of my last game, I am forever grateful and touched by your love.
