As we looked at tiny parcels of beautiful land today, my head crashed with migraine. Just a steady drilling in my right eye, which keeps drilling away still as I type this.
You'd never know it. You'd see me laughing with the sales rep, riding in the back of her golf cart as joyfully as if I were at Disney World. You'd see me hugging a particularly beautiful piece of trim in the model home. You'd see me hug Matt.
Maybe if you watched closely enough, for long enough, you'd see a tear slide down my cheek. But I'm not crying. That's just my eye fighting back.
Most of my migraines aren't like this. Most usher me solemnly into a dark room. They point at the bed. They shove me down.
But this one was just background noise. Faraway construction. An irritating jackhammer.
Today the day prevailed.
