Today was unexpectedly sunny (with a few showers only in the late afternoon). We picked up raspberries (again! They ripen quickly), but the new blueberries still need time. We also weeded the strawberry patch, which surprisingly still has some fruit on it. The freezer here is stocked with many many containers of frozen berries. They turn into fresh sauces and jellies when needed (read every other breakfast, or afternoon tea with waffles).
The farm life is quiet and the silence is to be treasured. A walk on the shore at the breathtaking golden hour of the late sunset can never be missed.
As @agipsyinthekitchen put it perfectly, the cold wind from the north sea blows right through you and cleanses you from all the unnecessary ordeals you've been uselessly carrying around. The wilderness is liberating, even when it's tamed, under the form of a farm.
