Our Artist’s Palate project sees us invite a leading artist (and every once in a while, a designer) each month to share their favourite dish, which we construct and photograph. For the September issue we asked footwear maven Christian Louboutin, whose salmorejo - a chilled concoction of tomatoes and bread - takes on a similar hue to the vivid undersides of his stilettos. He calls it ‘the image of sunrise; of hot and long days’, and especially recommends the version at Templete, a restaurant in Havana, Cuba.
