Artist #21Savage has taken to the streets to give back to the youth and local community.
The rapper hosted his 3rd Annual ISSA Back To School Drive this past Sunday, August 5th. The East Atlanta native has worked tirelessly, with the help of sponsors & supporters such as #Spotify #CREW #LeadingByExample #JhonniBlaze & more, to provide back to school supplies & clothes to young students and families in need for the third year in a row.
The previous day before the artist also made an appearance at #Zone6Day, August 4th, where his car was broken into and cell phone stolen. The rapper however, did not let this damper or deter his giving spirit. ————————————————————————
According to local photographer @artisteatl “Yesterday, as I watched @21savage play basketball with @pde_escobar1506 , a kid about 7 or 8 years old walked up to 21 and told him he didn’t have a ball to play basketball himself. 21 told him ‘I’ll buy you a new ball’ , and the little boy looked nervous. 21 walked over to get his bag, he reaches in, pulls out $100 , and hands it to the little boy. The little boy looked really surprised but happy. The best part about #Zone6day to me.” ———————————————————————— Definitely beautiful to see artists feeding opportunities and positivity into the community. Furthermore, the example he is setting for the local youth is just incredible. Hoping other artists follow the example he is setting and help nurture the growth and prosperity of the people & communities who support and love them.
