Today marks 73 years since the Hiroshima bombings. When I finally visited and took the tour of the site, memorial and museum, and watched a film they had playing comprised of clips taken by the US army the day after the bombs fell, it was heartbreaking and my chest felt like an elephant was sitting on it. We take peace so much for granted. War is just plain ugly.
