@RachelOffDuty here again! When you think of Hawai‘i, the first thing you will think of is most likely the beaches. But the islands are also home to some of the most diverse and beautiful flowers, trees, and plant life in the world. In the middle of downtown Honolulu, Foster Botanical Garden is a little nature oasis, and an easy way to get a taste of the island's unique plant species. I never paid attention to botanical gardens as a kid, but now, I find myself seeking them out wherever I go. There's something uniquely fascinating about being in a garden like this and imagining what this island might look like without the skyscrapers, apartments, and highways that lie just beyond the fence. A trip to any of O‘ahu's botanical gardens are either free or cost just a few bucks, and come highly recommended by yours truly! #TakeoverTuesday
