Birthday kisses are the best kisses ♥️
Thank you to everyone who has filled the last 28 years (and change) of my life with adventure, love, warmth and laughter. I cannot begin to express the joy you’ve brought to my life.
Thank you to all my family, chosen and genetic, for loving me for exactly who I am, even when I’ve briefly been unsure who that is, or what she’s worth. I promise I know now.
Thank you to all those in my industry who’ve helped me grow as an actress, writer, director and human. I may never be able to repay your generosity and time in adding so much texture and color to my craft, but I will still strive to daily with each set I have the honor to work on.
And thank you to everyone on here who have helped me benefit great causes every year around this time. Giving to others is the greatest gift anyone could ever give me on my birthday, so truly, all my love to all of you who’ve given of yourselves.
Leaving 28, I can genuinely say I feel as if I’ve lived a full life already, and 30 is still just around the corner! I am so grateful and so humbled by the sheer force with which my life’s tide keeps redirecting me, each time to more complex, deep and yet even more fulfilling waters. I’ve been overwhelmed, I’ve been lost, I’ve been flooded and capsized and at the mercy of so many monstrous storms, and yet I’m still here! And with each passing year I feel like a better sailor for it.
So here’s to spending the last year of my twenties the way I spent the 28 others before it: collecting passport stamps, memories, friends, tattoos and scars.
