The intriguingly titled Shapeshifter House is situated in Reno, Nevada. The architecture draws on the desert topography, which heavily influenced its angular, origami-like forms. @opa_architects took inspiration from the desert as a ‘no place’, the ‘perfect test site for all genres of experimentation - military, scientific, and social’ says co-founder Luke Ogrydziak. Full of sweeping lines and fantastic folds it appears like a desert mirage, the contemporary interiors inextricably linked to the surrounding expanse of scrubland, sand and sky.
