Sometimes a photograph walks right up to you. I was shooting bonsai, the Japanese art of growing miniature trees for a @ナショナルジオグラフィック story on Japanese gardens when the bonsai master came out of the greenhouse holding this 70 year old Japanese maple for me to see. He was wearing a black sweater. I had him turn towards the light and took this picture. He had beautiful hands and the early morning light added the warm color tones. #bonsaitree #bonsaiart #japanesemaple @natgeocreative
