I know I’m a biased source but hear me out: in this acting game we have two paths at any moment; art and entertainment. We often must choose one path or the other, we stay on it as long as it lasts and hope to occasionally make a jump to the other. Only the truly amazing amongst performing artists can comfortably and successfully exist in both worlds. And only the most amazing of those can attain the feat of blending the two. My wife has done exactly that this year. And at this very moment you could easily avail yourself of a double feature in which she is exquisite and soulful and achingly subtle in “First Reformed” and then see her be fun and honest and the glorious beating heart in the wonderful and joyous “Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again”. In very, very few instances can an actor have such a thing said about them and to execute both at the highest level is vanishingly rare. It is far past time that Amanda is recognized and respected for being the breathtaking talent that she is. #FirstReformed #MammaMia2
