The Sanno-iwa Rocks are structures of stratified rock that formed one hundred million one thousand years ago. The three huge rocks are Taikoiwa (Taiko Drum Rock), which is on the right, Otokoiwa (Male Rock), the 50 meter tall rock in the middle, and Onnaiwa (Female Rock), on the left. Other than the observation point where this photo was taken, there are also stairs that lead down to the beach, where you can enjoy viewing the landscape from a different angle.
