‘Many families outside Mongolian cities live in a gher, a circular portable tent that consists of 88 wooden beams, five extended walls, and several woolen canvas stretched over the structure. It takes five people one hour to put this home together. Life in the ghers is basic: there is no running water, heat comes from a wood stove, and electricity is provided by a solar-panel battery. Regardless, the nomadic Mongolians I met on my journey seemed incredibly content. Spending time with them offered me a tiny peek inside a life that is unimaginably different from my own.’ – @insearchofperfect #lpinstatakeover #Mongolia
