今週は紫をテーマにして原稿を書いていますので、アメジストについてもご紹介したいと思いました。
アメジスト (日本語名 : 紫水晶) は古来から尊い石として崇められてきました。私もスパのプロジェクトで使用しましたが、心を清め、後ろ向きな思考を振り払う石の効果、かつ一人一人のエネルギーを高めることに有効であると信じられているようです。特に仕事関係のストレスを抱える方には良いと言われる方もいらっしゃいます。
自ずとインテリアでも、石本来の美しさとパワーストーンとしての効果を取り入れたいと思うプロダクトデザイナーも居るようで、照明や家具の天板などに良く見かけられます。

I write articles about the color purple this week and I thought to include an amethyst article.
Despite of its prevalence, amethyst has been one of the world’s most revered stones for many centuries. Amethyst healing properties are as plentiful as the stone itself. It is thought of mostly as a protective stone. As it is linked to the crown chakra, it is helpful in purifying the mind and clearing it of negative thoughts. This includes the negativity of stress and anxiety, which is why many meditate with amethyst so as to rid themselves of that darkness. Amethyst healing properties are especially useful in regards to work-related stress. I used it for Spa project in the past for the same reason. Many of product designers are also trying to use the stone’s beauty and the power within the stone and as an interior designer, I often run into the products using the stone in lamps and table tops.
