One of the most important jumps in figure skating, the loop jump ➰ Here is what I like to think about when working on this jump:
• Keep the jump “lazy”, the more you bend on the takeoff the harder the jump gets, so bend as little as possible.
• Think about doing a back lemon ? then set on the entry, standing nice and tall.
• The more you can press the arm and hip of the take of foot back the better release and snap you’ll get into the rotation (the right side in this example).
• Keep the other arm in line with the belly button (the left in this example)throughout the takeoff to help control the jump.
