Los Angeles based practice @eyrcarchitects has designed a family home in Santa Monica that serves as a serene escape from LA. The design was about 'creating an environment of calmness and repose' says Takashi Yanai, who heads up the firm's new San Francisco outpost. This clever cube, with its sliding floor-to-ceiling doors, Japanese inspired garden and airy interiors is surely the antidote for a hectic, yet fulfilling family life.
