“Hozuki Ichi (Chinese lantern plant market)” is one of Japan’s summer features which is held in Asakusa with an atmosphere of the Edo period!
In Japan, it is said that you can have good luck for the rest of your life by visiting Senso-ji Temple to pray on July 9 (mon) or July 10 (tues), which is why Senso-ji Temple is crowded with many prayers and tourists on these 2 days.

On the grounds of the temple, many street stalls will sell pots of vivid orange “Hozuki (Chinese lantern plant)” in the shape of a lantern.
Wind chimes will also be sold until late at night in an atmosphere of a festive downtown.
Senso-ji Temple is a 5-minute walk from “Asakusa Station” on Tobu Skytree Line.
