All Praises to The Most High🙏🏽 I won THREE @itsplatform awards. The Vogue Talents Award, The Diesel Award and a new Award that Illy and Swatch announced on the night to partner on, to give me an opportunity of artistic residence in Shanghai and partner with me on creating a brand new art for coffee project. What an incredible surprise! 😭 I cannot explain how grateful and humbled I am by this experience. To be recognised not just for my design, but now for my artwork is such a milestone for me. Thank you Barbara and the entire ITS team. You truly planted a seed by sharing your platform with me. When I created my collection, I had a vision for unheard voices, untold stories, and unlearning stigmas and representations of Blackness to be given a space and a platform. Thank you for planting the seeds for me to do this in Italy, and now the opportunity to take it globally. Thank you for caring about sustainability and bringing back art, craftsmanship, meaningful conversation and multidisciplinary practice into fashion. Thank you for letting me be an artist and story teller and not just a designer. Thank you for honouring my community. . Thank you to each and every one of the jurors for choosing me, for opening your ears, hearts and minds to receive my message and stories, and for believing and trusting in my vision.
