Back in the early days of my fashion design career I was one of the very first people (if not THE first!) to photographically print onto clothes. I’d take photos of all sorts of things I’d see on my travels around the world and print them (often abstracted) onto my designs. At first it was just shirts but then I’d go onto use photos on bags, suit jacket linings and all sorts of other things. This is a little peek of what’s to come in my fashion show this Sunday in Paris. It’s so amazing to see how methods I used way back then have advanced and the photographic printed pieces you can make today are so beautiful. The new collection features photos taken by me and some taken by my Dad who was a passionate amateur photographer. This is one from my Dad’s archive... It’s #takenbyHarold!
