A woman found her, cared for her and sent Patricia to safety in Nairobi, Kenya. Patricia came to the U.S. alone in October 2015, with no knowledge of the fate of her family. Having been given the opportunity for a future of safety and hope, Patricia intends to build a life that honors those who have not been as fortunate. She hopes to become a voice for women who continue to suffer, as well as those who have died. . Image 2 Bhimal, 2016 In 1992, Bhimal, 42, and his wife Nila, 38, fled ethnic cleansing in Bhutan.
