In 1935 half of Artek’s founding team was female; one of them was Maire Gullichsen. Women have been playing a crucial role in the design industry all along, yet they often remain underrepresented. Libby Sellers, design writer, curator, and consultant dedicates a publication to females that have changed the world of design since the Twentieth Century. The publication “Women Design” will be launched with a panel of respected design practitioners at Design Miami/ Basel today at 5pm.
