I’ve struggled with commenting on the news this past week about Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain. As someone who’s been pretty public about my mental health issues I know how hard it hits when someone, who from the outside, seems like they have everything figured out chooses to end it all. That’s the problem with social media, and media in general is that it’s so easy to show only the positive...but it’s really important to know behind all those positive images you’re seeing that there’s lots of struggle. It’s something that I need to constantly remind myself when I’m wrestling with where my career is going and knowing whether or not I’m making the right decisions, to take comfort in the unknown and know that good things are on the way. Sending peace and love to all those who are at a low point right now, I feel your pain and can’t wait for you to see the joy that will ultimately arrive when you least expect it and are open to receiving it.
