During a summer in New York, Arianna Gil was hanging out with her friend Sheyla Grullon and a group of guy friends and fellow skaters who were part of a collective called Casino. The men started filming a video of their stunts and tricks, but never once asked either of the girls to be included. “It was surprising how little they wanted us to participate in what they were doing,” Gil said.
