"The winter of 2005 started off great for me, I was at the top of my game. I was entered in both big mountain freeride competitions and races. I was on fire. Then, in a split second, it all changed. I blew my ACL at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort on a beautiful powder day. I knew not only my snowboard season was over, but my upcoming summer in the mountains as well. I immediately took steps to what I thought would facilitate a speedy recovery. But my knee wasn’t healing fast. So, what had gone wrong when I thought I had taken all the correct steps?" .
