We couldn’t resist posting just one more picture for National Smile Day. This is Marley, and Marley has a GREAT smile. Marley is an explosives detection canine at the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Oh, and Marley is silly.

Don’t let the “do not pet” advisory make you sad. Marley and all of the other TSA canines get plenty of love, affection, and playtime. But while they’re on the job, they need to remain focused on the task at hand, and that task is keeping our transportation systems safe.

Imagine if people kept coming up to you at your job and patting you on the head and rubbing your ears and belly… While we’re sure some of you might enjoy that, most would agree that it would be hard to focus. Same with our canines… But again, don’t be sad. They get plenty of downtime and lots of love. Happy National Smile Day!
