We're still roaming the streets of London and we've found a delightful secret spot. Not the pub itself as such but what's upstairs. The Sherlock Holmes Pub is actually on the site of ‘The Northumberland,’ a former hotel that features in ‘Hounds of the Baskervilles’. It was the place where Sherlock meets Sir Henry Baskerville, before heading off to the dangerous wilderness of Dartmoor where the main action takes place. The pub holds a secret: upstairs within its first floor dining room, is a replica of the great detective’s studio with clues and references to the books. The studio was created in 1951 for the Festival of Britain, as part of the celebrations. The pub subsequently acquired all of the contents after the exhibition had ended and has turned it into a delightful little hidden London gem. #HiddenLondon
